Epson 812, 812XL & 812XXL Ink Cartridges
Epson 812, 812XL and 812XXL ink cartridges are designed for the Epson WorkForce Pro range and use DURABrite Ultra pigment ink, a pigment-based formula that dries quickly, resists water and smudging, and is highlighter-friendly on plain paper. All seven WorkForce Pro models, WF-3820, WF-3825, WF-4830, WF-4835, WF-7830, WF-7840 and WF-7845, take the 812 and 812XL in all four colours, black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The 812XXL extra high yield black is supported by the WF-7830, WF-7840 and WF-7845 only, and does not fit the WF-3820, WF-3825, WF-4830 or WF-4835. The range includes standard, high yield and extra high yield options depending on your print volume. All products supplied by Ink Depot are covered by Australian Consumer Law.
Black ink cartridges almost always run out before colour on WorkForce Pro printers used mainly for document printing - invoices, reports, and correspondence put almost no load on cyan, magenta, or yellow. This imbalance is why the 812XL black makes practical sense even for moderate-volume users: at roughly three times the page yield of the standard 812 black (1,100 pages versus 350), replacing black less often reduces interruptions without requiring a change in how you handle colour. The 812XXL black pushes further to 2,200 pages and is worth considering for the WF-7830, WF-7840 or WF-7845 in any workplace where black-text output is consistently high. Because the 812 system uses four separate ink cartridges, you replace only the colour that has actually run out - there is no wasted ink from discarding a combined unit prematurely. Ink Depot stocks genuine singles and bundle packs including a 5-pack compatible 812XL bundle and genuine 4-pack and 8-pack 812XL options. Compatible cartridges sold by Ink Depot are covered by your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Using them does not void your printer warranty. Delivery is available Australia-wide, free over $99 (conditions apply).

General FAQ
Does the Epson 812XXL black ink cartridge fit all printers that take the 812XL?
No. The 812XXL black is physically larger than the 812XL and fits only the WorkForce WF-7830, WF-7840 and WF-7845. Printers in the WF-3820, WF-3825, WF-4830 and WF-4835 range use the 812XL black as their highest-capacity black option. There is no XXL variant for cyan, magenta or yellow in any model.
What is the practical advantage of DURABrite Ultra pigment ink over dye-based ink?
DURABrite Ultra uses pigment particles that sit on top of the paper surface rather than soaking into it. This makes printed text more resistant to water, smudging and highlighter bleed - a real difference when printing documents that get handled, filed, or signed. Dye-based inks bond into the paper and can run or fade if the page gets wet before it is fully dry.
Are Ink Depot's compatible Epson 812XL cartridges safe to use?
Yes. Compatible ink cartridges sold by Ink Depot are covered by the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees they are fit for purpose. Using a compatible cartridge does not void your Epson printer warranty under Australian law - Epson cannot require you to use only genuine consumables as a condition of warranty coverage.
