Frequently Asked Questions
Do LC436XL cartridges physically fit into the same slot as standard LC436 cartridges?
Yes, LC436 standard yield and LC436XL high-yield cartridges share the exact same external cartridge dimensions and slot into the identical printer bay. The XL designation indicates a higher internal ink volume rather than a larger physical shell.
Can I mix standard LC436 and high-yield LC436XL cartridges in the printer at the same time?
Yes, the printer operates seamlessly with mixed cartridge yields. You can install an LC436XLBK high-yield black cartridge while using standard LC436 colour cartridges without any issue or calibration required.
What is the shelf life of unopened LC436XL ink cartridges?
Unopened LC436 and LC436XL ink cartridges have a shelf life of approximately 18 to 24 months when stored in their original sealed packaging in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
