Epson WF-7840 Ink Cartridges
Shop ink cartridges for your Epson WorkForce WF-7840, which uses the Epson 812, 812XL and 812XXL ink cartridge series. The WF-7840 is a wide-format A3+ multifunction printer built for high-volume office document production. High-volume document printing depletes black ink quickly, making 812XXL black cartridges ideal for reducing cost per page, while 812XL colour cartridges maintain steady output across large office projects. Our 4.8 Google rating reflects a long-standing track record of premium cartridge performance. Ink Depot has supplied quality consumables for this printer since Dec 2020.
Expected page output and replacement cycles
Standard 812 and high-capacity 812XL and 812XXL ink cartridges are tested in accordance with ISO/IEC 24711 standards using standard CMYK test pages. In high-volume office environments, monochrome text documents consume black ink significantly faster than colour, making XXL capacity black cartridges the most cost-effective option for uninterrupted workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix a high-yield 812XXL black cartridge with standard 812 colour cartridges in the WF-7840?
Yes, all 812, 812XL, and 812XXL cartridges are designed to operate together seamlessly within the same printer. You can install an extra high-yield 812XXL black cartridge while continuing to use standard or XL cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges without issue.
Is the 812XXL cartridge available in cyan, magenta, and yellow colours?
No, the 812XXL size is produced exclusively in black for high-volume text printing. For colour inks, the highest available capacity in this series is the 812XL series.
Why does my printer report low colour ink levels when I predominantly print in black?
Even when printing in black-and-white mode, the Epson WorkForce WF-7840 uses microscopic amounts of colour ink during routine printhead maintenance cycles to prevent nozzle clogs. Replacing depleted colour cartridges promptly ensures the printer remains ready for high-resolution output.
