Choosing Between Genuine and Compatible TN258XL Toner
Compatible toner for this series is available in the TN258XL high-yield size only, as individual black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges and as multi-packs. If you specifically want the standard TN258 size, genuine Brother is the only option. Using a compatible cartridge does not by itself remove your rights under Australian Consumer Law. However, damage caused by a faulty cartridge may not be covered by the printer manufacturer's warranty. Our genuine vs compatible cartridges guide explains the differences in more detail.
Matching TN258 or TN258XL to Your Office Output
If your office prints mainly text, a TN258XL black cartridge gives 3,000 pages against 1,000 pages from a standard TN258 black, while the colour cartridges can stay at standard yield. If you print colour charts, presentations or marketing material, TN258XL colours are rated at 2,300 pages compared with 1,000 pages. Compatible TN258XL cartridges are backed by a money-back guarantee if they do not work; see our returns policy. Free delivery applies on all orders over $99, with orders shipped from our warehouses in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Browse all Brother toner cartridges.
