What to know about compatible cartridges
Under Australian Consumer Law, using compatible cartridges does not void your printer warranty. If you are cautious about modifying your ink setup due to potential failure risks, our third-party alternatives carry a full money-back guarantee. View the operational comparisons on our blog.
Pro Tip
If your MFC or DCP printer displays a low ink alert for a colour channel while you are running a critical monochrome job, the printer will lock out all functions until that colour cartridge is replaced. Keep a spare LC135XL colour cartridge on hand to bypass this multi-channel hardware block instantly.
Choosing the right cartridge setup
If you print text documents daily, shifting from single genuine units to a premium compatible multi-pack drops your black text overheads by roughly 80 percent. Orders dispatch from physical storage hubs in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide to reduce transit time. Free delivery applies on all orders over $99. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the LC139XL black cartridge in a DCP-J4110DW printer?
No, the LC139XL extra high yield black cartridge is physically wider and only fits the wider bay doors of the MFC-J6520DW, MFC-J6720DW, and MFC-J6920DW models. The DCP-J4110DW must use the LC137XL black cartridge.
Why does the printer indicate a cartridge error if my new compatible tank is completely full of ink?
The physical microchip on the cartridge casing may have shifted by a millimetre during transit. Extracting the cartridge, wiping the small gold chip contacts with a lint-free cloth, and firmly pushing it back in until it clicks will reset the internal connection.
Will my printhead become clogged if I leave these high yield cartridges unused for several weeks?
Brother systems operate a mandatory automated self-cleaning cycle during periods of inactivity. To prevent the ink inside the printhead nozzles from drying out, keep the printer connected to a live power source so it can perform these routine mini-purges.
