GelJet Waste Collector Units
The Ricoh 405783 waste collector collects surplus gel ink during automatic head cleaning cycles. Rated for approximately 27,000 pages, this separate component outlasts many main ink cartridge replacement cycles before requiring replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Ricoh Aficio SG 3110DNw and SG 7100DN use the exact same ink cartridges?
Yes, both the A4 SG 3110DNw and A3 SG 7100DN GelJet printers use the identical Ricoh 41 ink cartridge series (405761, 405762, 405763, and 405764).
Why does gel ink yield differently compared to standard liquid inkjet cartridges?
Ricoh GelJet cartridges contain a high-viscosity pigment gel that solidifies upon contacting paper. Because gel ink does not saturate the paper fibers like liquid ink, page output remains consistent across heavy text and line graphics with reduced bleeding.
How often does the 405783 waste collector need to be replaced?
The 405783 waste collector unit is rated for approximately 27,000 pages. It collects surplus gel ink during routine maintenance cycles and generally requires replacement far less frequently than standard ink cartridges.
Can individual 41-series gel cartridges be replaced separately as they deplete?
Yes, each colour operates in an independent channel, allowing you to replace black or individual colour cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) only when depleted without wasting remaining ink.
