How to stock these cartridges efficiently
If your office primarily prints monochrome reports and invoices, purchasing the 71C1HK0 black toner lowers cost-per-page from 4.7c down to 2.9c. For graphics-heavy presentations, choosing high-yield 71C1H colour cartridges reduces print expense per page compared to standard 71C10 units. Pro Tip
Black toner in these Lexmark enterprise workgroups depletes at roughly twice the rate of individual colour cartridges. Keeping a spare 71C1HK0 black on hand prevents unexpected downtime while single colour units can be replaced individually as needed.
Replace Just One Colour
If only one colour has run dry, there's no need to replace the rest - a single Genuine 71C10K0 Black cartridge (from $236.59) lets you replace only the colour that has run out.
Reduce How Often You Replace Cartridges

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix standard 71C10 toner cartridges with 71C1H high-yield cartridges in the same printer?
Yes, standard 71C10 and high-yield 71C1H/81C1X cartridges share identical physical dimensions and install into the same slots, allowing you to mix capacities based on individual colour usage.
Why does the 71C1HK0 black toner yield 22,000 pages while high-yield colours only yield 10,500?
High-volume office printing involves heavy text output, so Lexmark engineered the black toner chamber with higher physical capacity to balance replacement intervals across all four slots.
How does standard coverage testing differ for text documents compared to actual workplace usage?
ISO page yield testing assumes 5% toner coverage per page. Enterprise documents with heavy graphic logos, full-page fills, or wide tables consume toner faster, resulting in lower total page counts per cartridge.
Is 71C10K0 the same as 71C10K?
Yes, 71C10K0 and 71C10K refer to the exact same Lexmark standard yield black toner cartridge, where the trailing '0' is simply Lexmark's regional market code for Australia.
