Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the MX-23GT-BA black toner have a significantly higher yield than the colour toners?
Office environments produce predominantly text-based black documents, so Sharp designed the MX-23GT-BA black cartridge with an 18,000-page capacity to match routine printing ratios against the 10,000-page MX-23GT colour cartridges.
What happens if one colour toner runs out while printing mono documents on the Sharp MX-2018?
Even during pure black-and-white print jobs, the Sharp MX-2018 engages all toner drive assemblies during startup cycles; maintaining active colour cartridges prevents printhead contamination and potential printer locks.
How should I handle a newly unpacked MX-23GT toner cartridge before loading it into the printer?
Gently rock the cartridge side-to-side five or six times horizontally before removing the protective seal to loosen the compacted toner powder, ensuring smooth transfer and consistent line density right from the first page.
