Drum Units, Transfer Belts, and Fuser Units
The OKI MC853dnx uses separate long-life components alongside standard toner cartridges. Colour and black drum units (44844481, 44844482, 44844483, 44844484) are rated for 30,000 pages, while the transfer belt (44846204) lasts up to 80,000 pages and the fuser unit (44848805) reaches 100,000 pages.
Experience Tip: Individual 44844481-84 drum units last through roughly four complete toner replacements before requiring renewal.
Best Way to Stock These Cartridges
If your office prints predominantly invoices and text documents, keeping extra 45862844 black toners on hand prevents unexpected downtime. Multi-cartridge bundle packs are ideal for high-volume environments needing balanced CMYK replenishment. Compatible toners feature a complete money back guarantee if performance is ever unsatisfactory. We dispatch rapidly from dispatch centres in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Free delivery applies on all orders over $99. Review our Returns policy for complete coverage details, or browse our full range of OKI toner cartridges.
Pro Tip
When replacing colour image drum units (44844481-83), replace only the specific depleted drum unit rather than replacing all four at once to maximize the remaining lifespan of individual drum channels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to replace the drum unit every time I change the toner cartridge?
No. The OKI MC853dnx uses a modular design where toner cartridges click into independent drum units. Toners yield roughly 7,000 to 7,300 pages while drum units last up to 30,000 pages, so drums are replaced far less frequently.
How do bundle packs help manage printing costs on the MC853dnx?
Purchasing 45862841-44 multipacks provides all four CMYK toners together at a lower cost per unit, ensuring balanced replacement stock is ready when colour levels drop during heavy graphics runs.
How do I know when the transfer belt or fuser unit needs ordering?
The transfer belt (44846204) and fuser unit (44848805) have long service lifespans of 80,000 and 100,000 pages respectively, meaning they require ordering far less frequently than standard toner cartridges.
