Choosing between genuine and compatible options
Replacing genuine supplies with high-grade compatible options offers substantial savings without compromising text crispness. Under Australian Consumer Law, using compatible cartridges does not void your printer warranty. Learn more about performance standards in our genuine vs compatible cartridge comparison.
Drum units and separate consumables
The OKI B431 series uses a two-piece system separating the toner cartridge from the imaging drum. Experience Tip: The 44574303 drum unit is rated for 23,000 pages and outlasts multiple toner replacements before requiring renewal.

Always verify whether your print job requires a new toner or drum replacement; changing toner early when the 44574303 drum unit has reached end-of-life will not resolve faded background shadowing.
