Purchasing Tip
Store spare S015336 ribbon cartridges in their original sealed packaging until installation; exposure to open air can dry out the ribbon fabric lubricants over time, reducing total character yield before use.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many characters does the Epson S015336 ribbon cartridge print?
The genuine Epson S015336 ribbon cartridge is rated for approximately 8 million characters, providing extended ribbon life for heavy continuous form printing.
What happens if continuous printing is run with an exhausted impact ribbon?
Beyond faint text on multi-part forms, a completely dry ribbon increases friction between the printhead pins and the paper, accelerating mechanical pin wear on the 24-pin printhead assembly.
Are S015336 ribbon cartridges compatible across other Epson impact printers?
While the S015336 ribbon is engineered specifically for the LQ-2090 and related 24-pin wide-carriage models, always verify your exact model number prior to ordering to ensure proper physical cartridge seating and ribbon tension mechanism compatibility.
