Epson XP-960 Ink Cartridges
Shop ink cartridges for your Epson Expression Photo XP-960, which uses the Epson 277 and 277XL ink cartridges series. Ink Depot has been supplying reliable consumables for this printer since Nov 2016. This A3 photo printer produces fine colour tonal balance, where high-volume photo printing depletes individual 277XL cartridges unevenly depending on shade saturation. Our 4.8 Google rating reflects a long-standing track record of premium cartridge performance.
Real-World Yield and Ink Usage
Photo printing places unique demand on individual cartridges, where ink usage varies by colour density across prints. Epson tests 277 and 277XL yield output under ISO/IEC 24711 standards for inkjet consumables, ensuring consistent coverage across standard photo and document tasks.

Cartridge Buying Tip
Keep extra 277XL Light Cyan (C13T278592) and Light Magenta (C13T278692) cartridges on hand, as landscape and portrait printing deplete highlight and skin-tone shades much faster than standard primary colours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some 277XL photo cartridges run out faster than others?
Photo printers consume ink unevenly based on image colour palettes. Detailed photo prints rely heavily on light cyan and light magenta to produce smooth gradients, causing those specific cartridges to deplete before primary cyan, magenta, or black cartridges.
Can I install 277XL high-yield cartridges alongside standard yield 277 cartridges in the XP-960?
Yes, 277 and 277XL cartridges share identical physical dimensions and click into the exact same cartridge slots inside the XP-960. You can freely mix standard and XL capacities across different colour positions as needed.
Does the Epson Expression Photo XP-960 accept individual cartridge replacements?
Yes, the 6-ink system allows you to replace only the specific 277 or 277XL colour cartridge that has run out, preventing ink waste and keeping overall replacement costs efficient.
