Canon PIXMA MP620 Ink Cartridges
Shop ink cartridges for your Canon PIXMA MP620, which uses the Canon PGI-520 and CLI-521 ink cartridge series. Ink Depot has been supplying reliable consumables for this printer since Jan 2008. The PIXMA MP620 features a 5-ink system where document printing depletes PGI-520BK pigment black, while photo work draws from CLI-521 dye tanks. Our 4.8 Google rating reflects a long-standing track record of premium cartridge performance.

Choosing Between Genuine and Compatible Cartridges
Compatible cartridges provide a cost-effective alternative to original Canon consumables without compromising output clarity. Under Australian Consumer Law, using compatible cartridges does not void your printer warranty. Learn more about performance differences in our genuine vs compatible cartridges guide.
Managing Replacements and Shipping
If you print mainly text documents, purchasing extra PGI-520BK black cartridges addresses your primary depletion point. If you print photos or colour graphics, ordering multipacks balances replacement schedules across all CLI-521 colour slots. Compatible cartridges carry a money back guarantee if they do not perform as expected. Review our returns policy for complete warranty coverage. Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Canon PIXMA MP620 use two separate black ink cartridges?
The printer utilises PGI-520BK pigment black for sharp, smudge-resistant text on plain paper, while CLI-521BK dye black provides deeper contrast and tonal gradations when printing photos on glossy paper stock.
Can I print text documents if one of the CLI-521 colour cartridges is empty?
Canon PIXMA print systems require all individual ink cartridges (PGI-520BK and CLI-521 C/M/Y/BK) to contain ink to operate, preventing printhead damage caused by drawing air into empty ink lines.
Do CLI-521 colour cartridges deplete at the same rate?
Depletion rates vary depending on document composition. Cyan and magenta often drain faster on graphic-heavy pages, while balanced photo printing consumes cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges evenly.
