Expected Page Output and Replacement Cycles

When replacing the CART309 cartridge, leave the new toner sealed in its protective bag until immediately before installation, as long-term exposure to direct ambient light can damage the integrated photosensitive drum layer inside the cartridge body.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the CART309 toner cartridge include the drum unit?
Yes, the CART309 is an all-in-one cartridge design. It contains both the toner supply and the imaging drum assembly in a single unit, ensuring print components are renewed simultaneously with every cartridge replacement.
How does printing on A3 paper affect the overall page yield?
Declared page yields are measured using standard A4 pages at 5% coverage. Printing on larger A3 sheets uses roughly double the surface area, which proportionally reduces the total number of pages you can print from a single cartridge.
What is the shelf life of an unopened CART309 toner cartridge?
Unopened genuine Canon toner cartridges typically have a shelf life of up to 24 to 36 months when stored in a cool, dark place away from extreme humidity and direct sun exposure.
