Frequently Asked Questions
Is the high-yield CART057H physically larger than the standard CART057 cartridge?
No. Both CART057 and CART057H toners share identical exterior dimensions and fit into the exact same slot inside the printer. The CART057H simply contains a higher volume of toner powder inside its internal reservoir.
How long can an unopened CART057 or CART057H toner cartridge be stored?
Unopened Canon toner cartridges have a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Storing spare high-yield toners ensures continuous printing without risk of toner powder degradation.
Why might my actual page yield differ from the 10,000-page rating on CART057H?
Page yield ratings rely on standard ISO/IEC 19752 testing criteria based on 5% page coverage (roughly a short business letter). Printing full-page graphics, dense spreadsheets, or bold text increases toner consumption per page and reduces overall page yield accordingly.
