Canon i-SENSYS LBP 6780x Toner Cartridges
Your Canon i-SENSYS LBP 6780x uses the CART324 and CART324HY toner cartridge series. Ink Depot has been supplying reliable consumables for this printer since Jul 2013. This heavy-duty monochrome laser printer handles fast, high-volume document output for demanding office environments. Switching from the standard CART324 Black cartridge to the high-yield CART324HY significantly reduces page costs and lowers replacement frequency during large document print runs. Our 4.8 Google rating proves it: we consistently supply premium cartridges backed by rock-solid reliability.
Expected Page Yield and Output Rates
Page yields for CART324 series toners are measured under ISO/IEC 19752 standards for monochrome laser printing. Actual page output varies based on coverage, document density, and print job length. High-volume document printing depletes standard cartridges faster, making high-yield alternatives ideal for consistent daily use.
| Cartridge Number | Type | Colour | Page Yield | Cost Per Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CART324 | Standard | Black | 6,000 | $0.039 |
| CART324HY | Standard | Black | 12,500 | $0.028 |
Cost Per Page = Total Cartridge Price ÷ Page Yield (at 5% coverage). Prices based on Genuine cartridges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the CART324HY toner physically larger than the standard CART324 cartridge?
No, both CART324 and CART324HY toner cartridges share identical outer dimensions and install into the same toner slot inside the Canon i-SENSYS LBP 6780x. The CART324HY simply contains a larger reservoir of Black toner dust.
How does toner yield differ from ink cartridge yield during text printing?
Toner yields are calculated using the ISO/IEC 19752 standard based on 5% page coverage of standard text documents. Unlike inkjet cartridges, dry toner powder inside CART324 cartridges does not dry out over time, making it suitable for both sporadic and continuous high-volume printing.
Can I switch between CART324 standard and CART324HY high-yield toners as needed?
Yes, you can alternate between standard and high-yield cartridges without modifying printer settings. The printer automatically detects the cartridge type and adjusts operational parameters accordingly.
