Expected Output and Ribbon Lifespan
Thermal ribbon yield for the Brother Fax-BS70 is determined under standard ISO test charts for thermal transfer fax units. Standard PC-201 cartridges provide predictable page yields for daily office communication, ensuring crisp monochrome fax pages without fading.
| Cartridge Number | Type | Colour | Page Yield | Cost Per Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PC-201 | Standard | Black | 450 | $0.12 |
Cost Per Page = Total Cartridge Price ÷ Page Yield (at 5% coverage). Prices based on Genuine cartridges.
Selecting the Right Replacement Fax Rolls
If you handle light daily fax traffic, standard PC-201 black ribbon cartridges provide an easy, drop-in replacement. For higher output environments, ordering PC-202RF refill rolls reduces single-unit reordering frequency. Always check your remaining roll capacity before heavy transmission runs. Ink Depot backs every item with our 100% satisfaction commitment. Review our returns policy for total peace of mind. Pro Tip
When replacing PC-202RF refill rolls into the Fax-BS70, ensure the film tension is wound firm before closing the top cover to prevent ribbon crinkling or faint line printing.
Frequently Asked Questions

How can I tell when the thermal transfer ribbon needs replacing on the Fax-BS70?
Incoming faxes will display faint text or light horizontal streaks, or the display panel will prompt a roll replacement message once the film reaches its end.
What is the standard page output for PC-201 thermal fax ribbons?
A standard PC-201 ribbon yields approximately 450 pages based on standard A4 test document coverage.
